VRTool offline usage

This tutorial is a step-by-step guide to offline usage of VRTool with virtual regatta.

Note: this procedure is hard work. Go playing elsewhere if you don't have the required geeky disposition.
Used Firefox 3.5 for Windows and vrtool 1.5

Steps to update boat data

* Install httpFox plugin in Firefox (click Tools > Plugins, locate httpFox and install). Restart Firefox.

* Click the icon in the bottom/right corner of Firefox window to open httpFox panel

* Click [> Start] button to start httpFox logging (see item 1. in figure below)

* Type "get_user" in the filter field (item 2)

* Reload game page to refresh boat data.

* Select the get_user.php line in httpFox panel (item 3)

* Click the "Content" tab (item 4).

* Now click the text box and copy the content to windows clipboard using Ctrl-A followed by Ctrl-C
(item 5).

* Go to vrtool (Alt-Tab)

* Clear the "boat" field so it does not download if you accidentally click "get" (item 1 in figure to the left)

* Uncheck the "Auto update" checkbox (item 2)

* Click the "clipboard" button to paste boat data from the windows clipboard (item 3). This will enable the button in item 4.

* Click [add current pos to boat track] (item 4). This will update your boat and friends tracks.
