If, using the drawing track tool, you point too high to the wind, the track designer engages in automatic crossing mode (Zig-zag-ing - Otherwise your boat would stop in the first pixel you clicked against the wind, and stay put until the next wind change. You are right The lower limit for TWA is currently too high and clearly inadequate.
I will add a settings for that.
