Me too like jce and mustique.
doesn't work and the path is correct. Firefox version is 3.5.3
in tmp directory appears plugtmp without -xx and the file data and winds are correct.
I can only import with copy and paste system
winds method f2 works correctly and i download the winds from the game server

Hello Omar, I still can't get it work properly.
I've tried to reinstall VRtool (after removing it and emtying the trash), but without result. But what I saw was that for the first time with the new installation, in the file-menu my deskops where shown. Which supprised me, because I removed the whole old VRtool map. So how could the new one knew where I store my desktop? Do you place a file in a directory? If yes, in which directory and what is the name of the file. Than I can throw that awy too and hopefully it's gonna work.

Well... sort of. For some configurations it works.
For some not. The cache seems to assume different forms.
In Vista it seems to work better
Others will have to keep Copy-Pasting

Hello Omar,
Too bad you don't have a killing idea as always !
Do you have any debug option I could try to figure out why it doesn't work ?

VRTool 1.6 file location

Postby Neptune » Tue Sep 29, 2009 11:34 pm

This may help some of you that are having trouble finding the proper folder.

The first thing is to find where the file are located. To do that you need to be able to see the hidden folders.

Go to Control Panel - Click on FOLDER OPTION - VIEW - ADVANCED SETTINGS - select "Show hidden files and folders" - Click OK and close

in VISTA with Firefox go to:
Local Disk ( C ) - Users - Owner ( or your name) - AppData ( this is the file that was hidden ) - Local - Temp - plugtmp ( inside this folder you will find all the files )

NOTE: the same path with Google Chrome does not find the files - Only Firefox put them there.

In the case of Windows XP the hidden folder is "Document and setting"

In both case it is NOT necessary to have anything past "Temp\" in VRTool

I have 2 versions of Vista one is an upgrade from XP and it works fine on it.= C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\

The other is not an upgrade and it does not work.

I also have Windows XP and it also works fine. = C:\Documents and Settings\Mauro\Local Setting\Temp\

Although I found the file for Vista ( in plugtmp folder) have not been able to get them to load in VRTool --

Good luck to you - if any of you find a solution to Vista please post it.

As said before in my vista laptop no problems,

but im trying to set up my dad's laptop with xp

I have the correct folder documenstandsetting\USERNAME\localsettings\temp\plugtmp where i can see all the xml files.
Hidden folders are visible but vrtools doesnt "see/import" the files. Also tried hidding extensions (.xml) and making them visible but all give a negative effect, vrtools cant import the files.
