I Have the same problem, the get-user file isn't stored on the computer any more, it isn't visible with cache viewer or httpfox.
The boat data must be somewhere else but where ?

Look's like we will have to input by hand the boat position

No, with Firefox 3.5.6, I still can see the VR files within Httpfox.
But, they aren't any more stored in the plugtmp(_x) folder.
May-be, we need to change an option in Firefox.

OK guys we have a problem... for the time being i found a solution. OPen httpfox refresh game screen pres start in httpfox and search for the row ://julesverne.virtualregatta.com/get_user.php?version=25&checksum et z. and open the tab below : content now copy all the content and open vrtool tab boats. Press ; the paste boat data( right from your boat name) and press; add current pos to boat track.
Hoop fully the problem will be solved soon. greets,

Friends

I don't understand your posts, I didn't have any problem in Firefox cache about the boat and winds. It's working. I still getting data direct with my VRTool 1.7 ou 1.8 either. My Firefox version is 3.5.x and nothing change. :?

I use Windows XP, SP3. :D

Fair Winds!

Hello!

I've just load the newest version of VrTool :D .
I tried to load gribs to program.
GRIBS has been imported to my PC hard disk using ZyGrib as file*.grb.bz2.
I decompressed file using 7-ZIP program to *.grb in catalogue of ZyGrib.

Now I cannot find the proper procedures to import gribs to VrTool  .
I know VrTool as a very helpful tool while virtual regatta. I am going to start in the next leg of VR.
Before that I try to practice a little on liveskipper.com. however there is no interface to LS.

May I ask you to tell me how import gribs from disk to VrTool?
Thank you in advance.

Best regards
Andrzej

You can import .grb or .grb.bz2 files to vrtool desktop and then save to XML.
this works for uGrib and ZyGrib files ( grib 2 files I guess)
