I have my doubts with this method. I tried the same with grib.us (uGrib), and it seems that the forecast data is from the 14th in these programs as well.
If you look at the metadata on the files you get from zyGrib, for instance, you can see:

Hello, I have tried Gilles solution and metadata are OK. Only one diffrence,I have used on tab configuration the option raw grib windspeeds.....

Can someone who is using the XYGrib clarify the settings in the Download section? I've been using or trying to use the XYGrib but have been unsuccessful in getting wind grids to match those of the game. Below are the Download settings I think I should be using -

Resolution - 1
Interval - 3hrs
Period - 8 days
GFS run - 6hr
NOAA-GFS standard tab - Wind (10m) checked

For my location the wind changes occur at -

1100 PST / 0800 hrs CET
2300 PST / 2000 hrs CET

Hello, I have tried Gilles solution and got error message:
Cannot open file "C:\Docume~1\Admini~1\Locals~1\Temp\results.prb". The system cannot findt the file specified.
Please help.
