Sailonline Connect

Hi Omar,

I found a link to the VRTool software (ver 2.31) and downloaded and installed it.

Everything seems to be working fine. It looks like a great piece of software - thank you very much for your work on it !

I have one problem:
- I am using a http proxy.
- I manged to enter everything in the Config Wizard - related to the VOR2014/2015 - that is needed: I get the map and wind displayed.
- I have a boat running at sailonline.org and now I try to use the GPS interface you describe to get a possibilty to use the weather routing
- I can login and see my boat data directly on http://sol.brainaid.de/sailonline/toolbox/

I found the GPS interface - Settings and entered for the TCP/IP client
sol.brainaid.de
Port 5051

and I can see the software is trying to connect (countdown), but doesn´t succeed.
Unfortunately there are no error messages.

Do you have any hint where there is the problem ?
Is it because I am sitting behind the proxy ?
Wrong server adress? Wrong port ?
or missing login: I can´t see where I can enter any login information to connect to my boat ?

any help is really apreciated.

Thanks a lot and kind regards

If you are running the Brainaid NMEA proxy in your own PC,
then you should connect VRTool to it, not to sol.brainaid.de.

Set VRTool NMEA TCP/IP Client to:
localhost
port 5051
